Five lines, one interchange
Moradabad Junction (code MB) is described as an interchange station because five lines meet here, which makes it the busiest railway station in western Uttar Pradesh. More than 200 trains stop at MB, and it is the headquarters station of Northern Railway's Moradabad division. It is 157 km east of New Delhi on the main route towards Lucknow.

A division that reaches the Himalaya
The Moradabad division run from this station stretches well beyond Uttar Pradesh. It also manages the lines climbing into Uttarakhand, including the route to Haridwar and the terminus at Dehradun, so pilgrim and holiday traffic for the Garhwal hills is controlled from Moradabad.
The Brass City
Moradabad is famous across the world as Peetal Nagri, the Brass City, for its brassware and metal handicrafts, much of it exported. Exporters and buyers are a familiar presence on trains to and from Delhi.
Tracks and platforms at Moradabad
MB has 7 platforms on 11 tracks, at an elevation of about 271 metres.
The way to Corbett
The branch line to Ramnagar makes Moradabad the main rail approach to Jim Corbett National Park, India's oldest national park. Travellers change at MB for Ramnagar or continue by road. Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Garib Rath, Double Decker, Antyodaya and Humsafar trains also call here; see the train schedule page.
