Integral Coach Factory, commonly known as ICF, is located at Perambur in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The production unit has manufactured passenger coaches for Indian Railways for decades.
Its product portfolio has evolved significantly as railway technology has changed.
ICF also developed and manufactured the original Train 18 trainset, which later became known as Vande Bharat Express.
The facility therefore holds an important place in both the history and modernisation of India's passenger railway fleet.
