Karmali railway station, the station for Panaji
Karmali railway station (code KRMI) is a Konkan Railway station in Tiswadi taluka, North Goa, in the Karwar division. It is the closest railway station to Panaji, Goa's capital, and lies in the central part of the state. Entering Goa from the north, it is the third station, after Pernem and Thivim. The station opened on 24 August 1997.
A lakeside station
Karmali sits beside Carambolim lake, and passengers can enjoy views across the water from the station. It is only about 7 metres above sea level.
