Delhi Cantt, the capital's gateway to Rajasthan
Delhi Cantt (station code DEC), officially Delhi Cantonment railway station, is in the Delhi Cantonment area and run by the Delhi division of the Northern Railway. It is an intermediate stop for trains from Delhi or Chandigarh heading to Rajasthan and Gujarat via Rewari, and a small number of trains start and end here. It is close to Gurgaon on the same route.
History
- The station was first a metre-gauge station.
- 1991: it is converted to broad gauge.
- 2025–26: a ₹335 crore "airport-like" redevelopment brings a new building with separate arrival and departure areas, escalators, lifts and more parking.
